Talk about desert beauty. It was my first time to the Lake. The kids had a blast. What can be better? Digging in the sand, swimming in the water, eating delicious food-all with the comforts of a beautiful houseboat. Thanks so much to our good friends, Bonnie and Aaron for inviting us along with them. Their generosity never ceases to amaze me. They were so laid back and easy going about everyone using all their toys. And so many toys too! Thanks so much!
I was quite a bit nervous about the whole trip at the beginning. Being on the water with 4 kids, trying to keep them safe and sound during the day while trying to keep a baby quiet at night so 20 other people could stay asleep. I was also worried about the night time. Would my kids wander off? What if one of them slept walk or something? But much to my relief, everything turned out great. The kids knew from the beginning that they all had to wear life jackets the entire time (except sleeping at night), so that kept all the parents' minds at ease. Everyone had a great time!
We had 17 kids and 10 adults. Whoa! My sister Shera, her husband, Jeff and their cute kids, Jack and Kenny. The Garn family, Jordan, Melissa, Kinzlee, Corbin, Adley and Brecklyn. And the West family, Heather, Brent their 2 cute boys and baby Clair.
Here are some pictures of our grand adventure. My favorite memory is riding on the wave runner with Cam, going through the narrow slot canyons, and also being able to sleep with all my kiddos by my side!

The kids were completely tuckered out by the end, and all slept a long while on our drive back home.

The houseboat was tucked into this little cove. It was such a great spot. Nice and secluded. Not that anyone would really want to spend time by our boat when there were 17 kids running all over the place...

His favorite was going off the slide, jumping once and doing a front flip into the water.

Yes, Lake Powell was very good times. Your kids are all so cute and to get to know them better-and you and Cam-makes me love your family even more! Thank you for gracing us all with your family's sweet presence!
