Ella's 7!

My sweet little freckles turned 7 this month. (Baptized next year? Huh-wha?) Never before have I seen someone so into their birthday.  Not in a braggy way, but a very dramatic, almost princessy-way. Everything had to be "just right."  She wanted Chicken-pot-pie for her birthday dinner, but instead of me making one big one, she wanted "individual sizes so everyone could have their own."  She also wanted cake pops.  I don't think I've cursed that much in a long time, but cake pops are defintiely my nemisis and I won't encounter those again. Ever.

We arrived home from Colorado the day before, and Nana had the house all decorated for Ella's big day.  What a great surprise!!
Because Ella's Birthday happened to fall on the same night as Daxton's "Space Derby," we decided to celebrate a day early.  She wanted to go to......sigh.......Chuck E. Cheese.  Every parent's favorite place to go.  But she and her siblings had a blast and were all smiles.

So on her real birthday, it was just me and the girls.  Cam took the boys to the derby while we enjoyed cake at home.  Ella had to change into her "party dress" as she called it, and had to make sure she was wearing a "Happy Birthday Crown that looks like a tiara."

She was full of giggles as the blown up heat made her dress poofy.

Styling her dress up items from Aunt Lisa.  Thanks Lis!

Oh, those cake pops.  Makes me angry just looking at them.  Yes, she's smiling and that's all that should matter.  But the cherry on top was when she took one bite of the cake pops and said, "They make my throat hurt."  And that was it for 4 hours of sweat and tears.  Can't say I blame her.  They were disgusting.

We had extra batter so we made her a heart shaped cake.

Happy Birthday Red!
